It needs a little TLC but over all it's in pretty good shape and plays well. It has a few scratches and dings, the pedal board in loose and two hammers need repair. I've been told it's an original Chickering but we can't find the serial number.

Restoration took 6 months (April 04'-October 04')

All but the Soundboard and pinblock have been replaced.

Piano has been regularly tuned by Chris Purdy – Ohio University's Chief Piano Technician.

Piano has been moved only once (from factory to my home) and has remained in a humidity controlled environment since then.

Included is a Damp-chaser Piano Humidity control system - $300

1960's Baldwin 5'8' Baby Grand with bench and original cloth cover.  Black satin finish.  Second owner (1st 25 years, me 20 years).  Well maintained, tuned and kept in private home.  No nicks, gouges etc on the piano, the bench has scratchs on the surface.  Tuned regularly - maintains it's tune beautifully.

We are moving to NC shortly and I cannot take the piano.  No reasonable offer refused.  I would like to be $5000 - $6000 for it if possible.  Been advised by two independent sources that the value is between $8000 -- $10,000.

Originally rebuilt in 1986 by Gibbs Piano. It received a new soundboard, pinblock, and refinishing. Satin ebony finish.

More recently (2008), it was restrung, and retrofit with the Wapin Bridge. New Abel Natural Felt Hammers, and new action parts installed. Stanwood Precision Touch Design.

Model C, 6'3".  1919.  Mahagony finish.  Soundboard is fine.  Needs completely rebuilt otherwise.   It will be restrung with a new pinblock, and retrofitted with the Wapin Bridge.  The action will be completely rebuilt with new parts, utilizing the Stanwood protocol. Abel hammers, shanks, and flanges have been fitted.
